The only option is to wrassle

Zane knows his sister's got pretty good reasons for not coming to school much anymore, but he does genuinely miss her. There's no one to tease about the upcoming dance, or to beg for notes on the latest thing in class, or just someone that's reliable conversation. She shows up to math class sometimes, but Zane isn't even in that one, and Adanya's long stopped showing up to the others. Busy, and all.

But Zane isn't. And there is a dance coming up. He wants to go, but doesn't have a date - it's time to fix that. Unfortunately just asking people hasn't seemed to be working. He's been doing it a while, but either his personality, his daemon, or his sister have been putting them off and Zane continues to be without a date. That's cool, he's not going to get broken up about it, it's just kind of annoying. Because really, he's super fucking gorgeous, who the hell wouldn't want to go with him to a dance? Whatever.

School lets out, and Zane is expected to walk home, but he is of the opinion that he needs to let off some steam first. Staying indoors in classrooms for hours is bothersome, and he dislikes it immensely.

"Hey, Kit-kat," he says, to the jaguar beside him. "Want to wrassle?"

"Are you kidding?" snorts his daemon Nakitarine. She flicks her tail. "Of course I do."

And that is how Zane ends up wrassling his jaguar daemon just outside of the school, both of them laughing all of the while. Yeah, this probably doesn't help him get a date, either.

"Not objecting's not the same thing as wanting me to," points out Zane. "And if you don't want me to, I won't. That's Nakitarine. I call her Kit-kat."

"I was right, you are adorable. Wanna make out, or do you save that for after the first date?"

"By all means," laughs Zane. "Let's make out right now!"

[aeskhyne]

"Awesome," says Rava.

Mahal's attitude towards the catfight changes abruptly. Now he is simultaneously wrestling and expressing affection. Snuggle attack!

And then Zane gets right to kissing Rava. Because kisses!

Ooo, simultaneous wrestling and affection. Kit-kat can do that, too. She cackles at the snuggle attack, and then presents the option of nibbles to the table. Hey, it's still wrestling, even if it's affectionate wrestling!

Ooh. Mahal was expecting to probably lose the fight, but nibbly snuggle-wrestling might be even more fun. He's completely on board.

Rava is likewise pleased with the situation at hand. So, so pleased. Pleased and affectionate.

It's less snuggly on Nakitarine's end, but there is definitely affection there. Nibbly, purring affection. That is still wrestling Mahal.

Oh, good, pleased and affectionate is what Zane is aiming for. Kisses, kisses, kisse-

"Get a room, you two!" snorts someone nearby. Oh, right. They are in public, aren't they.

"Get your own!" says Zane, brightly, flipping the someone off.

Rava snickers. He doesn't even bother flipping anybody off; kissing Zane some more seems like a better use of his time.

Zane agrees enthusiastically. It's not like they're even naked or anything, why should people care if they're kissing?

Exactly!

Not that Rava would object to kissing in private, if Zane were to bring that up as a possibility. That would be fun. But it seems like they are having too much fun kissing to get much talking done at the moment.

[kit_kat]

Zane is not emotionally invested in privacy. Talking is secondary to kissing, now that there isn't someone being rude to them. So he will just stick to kissing as Kit-kat sticks to affectionate, nibbly wrestling.

If they did some of the things Rava is currently contemplating in a context as public as 'out front of the school just after school ends', they might get arrested. But hey, kissing. Kissing continues to be cool. (Mahal continues to be snuggle-pouncey.)

Well, Zane would be perfectly happy to go be in a non-public context to go do those things, but talking continues to be a problem. Kisses, kisses, kisses.

A witch lands, nearby. Rava and Zane would be quite forgiven for not noticing her, considering how they're busy.

She looks at the couple, and then laughs. "Well, that answers the question of where you were," she says wryly. "I'll just - call dad and tell him you're busy."

Kiss kiss - wait what?

Zane gives a little goodbye kiss to Rava and then looks at the witch. "Oh! Oh hey, wow, hi sis."

"Hey there."

"Hiiiiii, Zane's sister!" says Rava, waving.

[stars_and_sky]

She waves back, amused. "Well, carry on, I suppose. Don't worry, Zane, I'll let dad know so he doesn't worry."

[kit_kat]

"You are my favorite sister."

[stars_and_sky]

"Also your only sister. I'd hope I'd be your favorite, who would I be losing against?"

[aeskhyne]

Rava giggles. "You guys are too cute!"

[stars_and_sky]

"Thank you. You two seem very cute together."

[aeskhyne]

"You bet we are," he says brightly. "What's your name? I'm Rava."

[stars_and_sky]

"Adanya Emaia, and this is my Kerixan," she says, motioning to the bird on her shoulder. "It's nice to meet you."

[aeskhyne]

Mahal spits out Kit-kat's ear and lounges comfortably next to her and says, "I'm Mahal," and turns from tiger into lion.

"Nice to meet you too," says Rava.
