The only option is to wrassle

Zane knows his sister's got pretty good reasons for not coming to school much anymore, but he does genuinely miss her. There's no one to tease about the upcoming dance, or to beg for notes on the latest thing in class, or just someone that's reliable conversation. She shows up to math class sometimes, but Zane isn't even in that one, and Adanya's long stopped showing up to the others. Busy, and all.

But Zane isn't. And there is a dance coming up. He wants to go, but doesn't have a date - it's time to fix that. Unfortunately just asking people hasn't seemed to be working. He's been doing it a while, but either his personality, his daemon, or his sister have been putting them off and Zane continues to be without a date. That's cool, he's not going to get broken up about it, it's just kind of annoying. Because really, he's super fucking gorgeous, who the hell wouldn't want to go with him to a dance? Whatever.

School lets out, and Zane is expected to walk home, but he is of the opinion that he needs to let off some steam first. Staying indoors in classrooms for hours is bothersome, and he dislikes it immensely.

"Hey, Kit-kat," he says, to the jaguar beside him. "Want to wrassle?"

"Are you kidding?" snorts his daemon Nakitarine. She flicks her tail. "Of course I do."

And that is how Zane ends up wrassling his jaguar daemon just outside of the school, both of them laughing all of the while. Yeah, this probably doesn't help him get a date, either.

"Go for it!" laughs Zane. "There are actually non-cool members of the family, but we ejected them, they aren't family anymore. Just people that Adanya and I happen to be related to."

"Makes perfect sense to me," Rava says cheerfully.

Zane grins brightly. "Yeah. We don't let non-cool people be part of the family anymore, it's pretty great."

"That is a pretty great idea, yeah!"

[kit_kat]

"So great, Anya was miserable before."

[aeskhyne]

"Aww, that's sad. But it's good that she's not miserable anymore! She's not miserable anymore, right?"

[kit_kat]

"She's not miserable anymore!" he confirms, brightly. "It's great, she's cheerful all the time."

[aeskhyne]

"Awesome!"

[kit_kat]

"Yup!" He kisses Rava's forehead, obviously happy about this sisterly fact.

Rava giggles and hugs him and kisses him back. Kisses are so great!

They are! They really are! They can have kisses along with food, even. Probably not the best way to go about eating, but it's definitely still a lot of fun.

It is obviously the best way, because it's fun.

You know what, Zane agrees, this is the best way to eat food. They can keep doing this, this is fun!

Perfect. Food! Kisses! Probably also cuddles! (Rava seems to be of the opinion that pretty much everything is better with incidental physical contact.)

Zane's not huge on cuddling, but he's not particularly against it on principle either. Since there's food and kisses involved, he won't get bored of cuddling. Rava seems to like it, so that's all right.

"Let me know if your folks have a curfew or some shit. I can drive you home, dad'll let me borrow the car, or Anya will fly you there if you ask nicely."

"Thanks," he says. "But you can kick me out whenever, I'll get home by myself."

Zane shrugs. "Leave when you want? I'm just - okay, I think curfews are shit and stupid as fuck, but you might not, so if you've got one or something similar to it I'm not going to prevent you from respecting it. But if you've got one and don't give a fuck about it, then feel free to stay the night, I just don't own any pajamas to borrow. You can probably borrow some of my clothes, though, I'm just a bit taller than you."

Rava giggles. "Who needs pajamas?"

[kit_kat]

"I know, right?" laughs Zane. "I mean, yeah, some of them are probably nice to look at and comfy and shit, but - meh. I grew up with witches."

[aeskhyne]

"There are comfy pajamas. Those are nice. I just wouldn't call them a need. And being naked is usually more fun."

[kit_kat]

"Yeah. Also, less hassle." He smirks and looks over Rava. "Better view, too, usually."

"Yep!"

[kit_kat]

"So, this is a roundabout way of us saying you're staying here tonight?"

[aeskhyne]

"Looks like!" he says cheerfully. "But seriously you can kick me out whenever, I won't mind."
